So, unless you have really been away from metal for the past year or so, you probably know thatBehemoth frontman Adam ‘Nergal’ Darski had been battling leukemia. He has defeated the disease and is slowly getting back in shape, and will be playing new shows soon. Hooray!
But if you’re a Behemoth fan, this is all old news to you. What’s new? THERE’S A NEW BEHEMOTH VIDEO. Now, you probably know that Behemoth videos, directed by Grupa 13, are among the best ov metal videos. They have insane production values and weird imagery, and they’re extremely NSFW. Ov course, this one is no different, but seeing Nergal back in action after his triumph over cancer is refreshing. Without further ado, I present to thee, “Lucifer“:
Now, as per usual with Behemoth videos, the imagery is very dense. I’ve seen in previous interviews that the creepy guy in the suit is supposed to be Lucifer. Nergal seems to be in top shape, and I think he really should go into acting. The song is entirely in Polish, and it’s actually a poem by famous poet Tadeusz Miciński.
